In the Agricultural Engineering area, IFTR do not involve directly but help join hands of machinery producers with the farmers This is done through sponsored / producer organized training programmes.  

Other activities include promotion of biogas units in rural areas for effective conversion of organic waste, training on rainwater harvesting, promotion of smokeless Improved choolahs, solar equipments for water lifting and drinking purpose, use of farm implements for drudgery reduction.
